WHEREAS: On July 23, 2024, Judge Reed Charles O'Connor of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued a ruling against the ATF's unconstitutional ban on Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) in NAGR v. Garland.
WHEREAS: The ATF's classification of FRTs as "machine guns" was vacated nationwide.
WHEREAS: The ATF was blocked from enforcing their expanded definition of "machine gun" against law-abiding citizens.
WHEREAS: The ATF was required to send correction letters to everyone they previously warned about FRT possession.
WHEREAS: All confiscated FRT components were to be returned by the ATF.
THEREFORE: As a law-abiding gun owner, I urge the Department of Justice to order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to return ALL confiscated Forced Reset Triggers to their rightful owners. Texas Gun Rights Foundation will keep me informed of their actions.
A Message from the President
Fellow Patriot,
Earlier this week, NAGR Vice President and legal expert Hannah Hill received a notice from the ATF, saying citizens who were not members of NAGR and TXGR on the date the lawsuit was filed – August 9, 2023 – were ineligible to have their seized Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) returned.
This ruling is simply unacceptable. Texas Gun Rights filed this lawsuit with the National Association for Gun Rights on behalf of ALL law-abiding gun owners – not just organization members.
That's why we need to draw a hard line and demand the ATF answer for their refusal to abide by a federal court ruling. Will you join TXGR today in demanding the ATF follow through on the court-ordered mandate?
Even with a more pro-gun administration in charge, we need to make it clear to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel that actions matter more than empty promises! So please, sign our petition demanding the ATF return confiscated FRTs to law-abiding citizens!
For Texas and Liberty,
Chris McNutt
President, Texas Gun Rights
